Ogogo said that gone are the days when people run from their birthplace with the belief they would be killed, saying, “we all should go back to our roots and work towards its development.”
“I want to use the opportunity of this event to call on my kinsmen to always go back to our roots and work towards its progress.”
Alhaji Al-Hassan Taiwo expressed his gratitude to God for giving him the opportunity to organised the event. He also expressed his gratitude to Imam Adewunmi, Alfas and the entire congregation ofIlaro Central Mosque for their unfliching supports.
Ogogo prayed that Allah continued to guide and protect them for their steadfastness toward developing the youth in the path of Islam.
The Guest Speaker, Fadhilat-L-Ustadh Ismail Marzeeq Agbeti, aka Asiso-Lori-Abosi who is also theNational Amir/Coordinator Al-Amanat advised the youth to always seek for knowledge with a view to abreast latest information around the world.
He commended Imam (Sheik) Tajudeen Mustapha Adewunmi, the Chief Imam of Ilaro Central Mosque and its environ for the way he had been piloting the Islamic affairs in his jurisdiction, adding that God shall continue to guide and protect him.
The Islamic scholar also express his happiness to Ogogo, the organiser of the yearly programme for spending in the party of Allah.
In his short address at the event which took place at Ilaro Central Mosque, Ona-Ola, Ilaro, Imam Adewunmi commended the Arabic students that participated in this year Ilaro Central Mosque Quiz Competition, saying he so delighted that those that featured in quiz displayed their dexterity in the Arabic studies.
He thanked God for the life of Al-Hassan Taiwo for sponsoring the programme every year, praying that Allah continued to bless Ogogo and his friends that made the event a huge success.
Some winners went home with lots of prizes which include money, landed property, rice,cooking oil, soft drinks, Ankara clothes garri among a host of other consolidated prizes.
The moderator of the programme, Fadhilat (Sheik) Ahmad Olanrewaju Al-Fulany creditably conducted the programme till it lasted.
The event was attended by Islamic scholars, dignitaries, artistes, students of Arabic studies from within and outside Ilaro. They include Chief (Mrs.) Adenine Akintade, Alhaja Muyibat Egungbohun, Comrade Jabar Ayelagbe, Mr. Ayinde Fadairo and Elhadj AbuSatar Idowu Hamed, Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, StarTrend Int’l magazine.
Others are Alhaji Haruna Musa (Naibu Imam of Ilaro Central Mosque), Alhaji Dauda Akanbi Oyewole (Olori Omokewu, Ilaro Central Mosque), Alhaji Mutiu Salawudeen, Alhaji Hassan Sambo, Alhaji Ibrahim Aliketuwi and Alhaji (Khalefa) Abdulfatai Abdulwahab among a host of others.
