IJEBU ODEThe Chairman Transition Committee, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbenga Olugbile, has frowned at the indiscriminate dumping of refuse on waterways by Hausa settlers around the Ijebu Ode Central Mosque, at the Oyingbo axis of the Local government area.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Kayode IBIKUNLE, Information Officer, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbile had during his visit to the area, on Thursday, expressed his displeasure at the non-compliance with Environmental Sanitation Laws by the Hausas trading beside the Central Mosque, particularly, their non-challant attitude towards the Thursdays set aside by the State Government for the cleaning of markets across the state.
He enjoined, the local government residents to always adhere to every directives of government at all levels. He urged the people to take as serious, the preventive measures announced by the government to contain the spread of COVID-19 within the communities.
The Council Boss thereafter donates waste disposal buckets to them to ensure a clean and healthy environment.
