ABEOKUTA: The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command Headquarters, Abeokuta, had warned all residents of the State to steer clear of violating the directives and order of the federal and State governments as the COVID-19 pandemic keeps rising according to statistics given daily by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by the Command, it noted that the commendable efforts of government can only yield the desired fruits by the full cooperation of the citizens and residents alike.
In his words, the State Commandant, Alhaji Hameed Abodunrin, stated that: “Going by the intelligence and pockets of reports as regards the activities of hoodlums in the State, the Corps is not unaware of the possibility by some lawless individuals who might want to hijack the process”.
To this end, the Corps had further strengthened surveillance across all government property and infrastructures in Ogun State to help ensure full protection of such critical assets.
Therefore, as the Corps also joins other sister security agencies to enforce the stay at home order on our roads, it would not also shy away from combing all strategic government property towards avoiding vandal activities.
Alhaji Abodunrin also wishes to advise Ogun residents to continue to be law abiding and compliant to the directives of the government towards bringing this epidemic to an end not forgetting to play by all the rules guiding a healthier living during this critical time.
