Afro-Heritage Broadcasting & Entertainment Award “AHBEA” is an annual event created to appreciate outstanding performance in broadcasting & entertainment industry.
This award is named after our company, Afro-Heritage Entertainment Company, a duly registered entertainment company in the state of Texas, USA, an award winning entertainment company, with loads of experience and expertise in entertainment, has selected a few worthy individuals to be honored and celebrated as “LEGENDS and ICONS in Africas entertainment and broadcasting industry ”.
It is no gainsaying that the entertainment industry in Africa has become a veritable tool to promote the sustainability of societal beliefs and customs. It has assumed a formidable pedestal in the society in promoting peace and harmony and most importantly the industry. Today, it has become a money spinning venture and taken a front seat in determining economic fate of not just individuals or families, but nations at large; from Nigeria, to Ghana, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, Liberia, Cameroon, Mozambique, Malawi and so many developing African nations.
Therefore, it is not out of place to acknowledge those who have been committed to the development of the entertainment industry and significantly contributed their quotas for its growth.
The success of the maiden edition in October 2015 – that witnessed a mammoth turn out and the 2016 edition too which witnessed another jam packed hall – gave credence to a worthy idea and that is why we have remain resolute to keep soaring high with more spectacular editions.
Apart from reinforcing the overall objective of the award, we also seek to inspire the coming generation of entertainers through this platform to appreciate and embrace which is our own for sustainability of our cultural values and identity.
Our aim is to make AHBEA awards a yearly event which will be categorized to cover various aspects of entertainment and one where fans will be given opportunity to vote for their choice of works submitted for screening. Each year will come with new innovations, creativity and glitz.
