Oba Bamgbose’s Exit: Ibese-Yewa Assured Dangote Continued Good Relationship

The people of Ibese-Yewa in Yewa North Local Government of Ogun State have assured Dangote Cement Company of their continued support towards the smooth operation of the plant in their land.
Chief (Dr.) Henzy Idowu made this pledge recently when he and some Ibese Chiefs played host to members of Dangote Cement who presented the chiefs and family of Late Oba Joel Bamgbose some food items.
The Asiwaju of Ibese-Yewa while he and some members of the Ibese Council of Chiefs and Prince Segun Bamgbose, a grandson of the kabiyesi commended Dangote Cement Plant for sharing from the pains of the death of Oba Bamgbose, saying; the people of Ibeseland will continue to maintain the existing good relationship between the company and the ancient town.
‘‘I want o on behalf of the people of our great town – Ibese assured Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the entire members of staff of Dangote Cement Company that inspite the demise of our indefatigable father of inestimable value, we shall continue to maintain the good relationship between the plant and our town as existed when kabiyesi was alive,’’ Dr. Idowu promised.
He expressed the gratitude of Ibese people to Alhaji Dangote and his team for standing with them at this crucial period on the loss of their foremost traditional ruler, praying that the love and peace that bond the two communities together shall not wein.
Speaking on behalf of the children of Late Oba Bamgbose, Prince Segun Bamgbose thanked the management of Dangote Cement for their good gesture towards reducing the pains of the loss of their progenitor.
Prince Bamgbose lamented that having spent a larger part of his life towards the realisation of the Ibese plant of Dangote Cement, kabiyesi didn’t enjoy the fruits of his labour, saying, ‘‘we however take solace on the fact that our Baba Agba had built a solid economic foundation for the people of Ibeseland and we shall continue to nurture the great idea for maximum benefits to all and sundry.’’
While appreciating the good gesture of Dangote Cement on their earlier condolence visits and the food items, Prince Bamgbose appeal to the Dangote Group to also support the town and family towards having successful final burial of the Aboro of Ibese-Yewa, adding they should not neglect the family after the final burial.
Responding on behalf of Mr. Anthony Chidioke, Head, Corporate Affairs Department of Dangote Group, Mr. Francis A. Browne commended the people of Ibese-Yewa and its environs for their peaceful disposition to the company since its operation in the area.
He promise that the organisation will continue to work on its Corporate Social Responsibility to all the community where Dangote Cement has its plants, saying;; ‘‘inspite the death of kabiyesi, we as a corporate copany will not renege from doing the needful to all our host communities.’’
Mr. Browne disclosed that the company believes that since the demise of kabiyesi, people will be trooping to the palace to commiserate with the family hence our resolve to bring these food items to reduce the burden on the Chiefs and family of the late Aboro of Ibeseland
He prayed that God grant kabiyesi eternal rest and gives the children and people of Ibese-Yewa the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Dangote Group had earlier joined numerous people to sympathise with the family and people of Ibeseland on the demise of Oba Joel Bamgbose, the late Aboro of Ibeseland.
