The foremost Pan African bank, United Bank for Africa, (UBA) on Saturday April 27, 2019 celebrated its 70th anniversary of its sojorn in the banking industry.
The event, which was held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos also featured the annual CEO awards, and was graced by eminent personalities, such like Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; Lagos State Governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; and former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel among others.
Ogun State Governor-elect, Dapo Abiodun; Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade; founder of Zenith Bank, Jim Ovia; Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu were also part of the train which saw personalities from different walks of life.
The event featured performances by pop stars, Tiwa Savage, Waje among others.
Chairman of UBA Group, Tony Elumelu, his wife, Dr. Awele Elumelu, and UBA Group Managing Director, Kennedy Uzoka, acted as the chief hosts at the event.
