Woman Drown In Ogun After Jumping Into River

By Raymond Osho

An unknown middle-aged woman has reportedly committed suicide on Tuesday July 2, 2019 by jumping into the Ogun river under the Lafenwa Bridge in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

It was gathered from an eyewitness who was at the scene of the incident that the woman who was spotted moving towards Lafenwa had suddenly delved into the river before she could be stopped.

The eye witness who craved anonymity said people in the area didn’t suspect that the victim was on a suicide mission until she jumped into the river.

Though, further information on what could have actually happened to her before taking such ill decision was still sketchy as at press time, some people who were seen around the scene however said her death may not be unconnected with a loan she secured from the popular “Gbomulelantern” scheme.
