ABEOKUTA – The Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ), Ogun State Council being directed by the Ogun State Caretaker Committee has thrown its full weight behind the decisions of the union as regards the Federal government’s ban on twitter at the ongoing 3rd National Conference in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
Leading the Ogun Delegates to the conference is Chairman of the Caretaker Committee, Pastor (Mrs.) Omolola Adeyinka who revealed that the problems facing Nigeria at the moment is more than the ban on twitter handle, rather than the government should look at the other side, as it affects them, but take a second look at those who make a daily living from that medium.
Mrs. Omolola Adeyinka also commended the National body for putting the conference together at this moment when all hands need to be on deck to chart a new course for the country.
The Ogun State delegates at tge conferences include the State Caretaker Committee Secretary, Wale Oluokun; State Chairperson of National Association of women Journalists, Modupeola Sobukonla; Chairman of the Ogun State Television Chapel, Bisi Alarape and a member of the state caretaker Committee, Bunmi Adigun
The 3rd National Conference has as its theme: “The Media, Insecurity and National Unity.”
