Tolu Odebiyi Coasts To Senate

The zeal to ensure that Ogun state stands out in the comity of other states is easily noticeable in Tolu Odebiyi.

As the Chief of Staff and professional, he has over the years amassed wide range of proven abilities such as increment of market share, profitably drive, improvement of quality and productivity, development of networks and management personnel in widely diverse settings.
The Iboro born political tactician and the Chief of Staff to the incumbent governor clearly possesses the requisite qualifications and leadership experience to take over the mantle of governance from Ibikunle Amosun. Odebiyi from Ogun West Senatorial district had his senatorial ambition sidestepped in 2015 by the leadership of his party, APC. His father, Chief Jonathan Odebiyi was the Minority Leader in the Second Republic Senate on platform of the defunct Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN).
The blossom career of Tolu Odebiyi spanned over several real estate development projects both in the United States and Nigeria. He was at a time responsible for the generation and brokerage of commercial and residential transactions in excess of $150million in the United States. Tolu once won the award of top Producing Broker in three consecutive years at Long and Foster Real Estate in Columbia, MD, USA for closing transactions in excess of $15million.
Prior to his appointment as the Chief of Staff to Governor Amosun, Tolu was was the Managing Director of a Real Estate company. He had also served as the Managing Director of Agbara Industries. Tolu had likewise worked in the banking sector when he first came back to Nigeria. He had equally worked as the Managing Partner at Travant Real Estate, a boutique real estate firm with a focus on residential and commercial development, private equity investment and advisory.

He was saddled with strategic responsibility at the firm that included project structuring, operational management, project development, project analysis, transaction management and real estate advisory. At the firm, Odebiyi equally handled the task of overseeing the development of various real estate projects both in Nigeria and Ghana.
While still serving as the Chief of Staff to Ibikunle Amosun, Chief Tolu Odebiyi currently sits on the board of good number of companies which include Travant Real Estate, Structuracasa Nigeria Limited, Travfirst Nigeria Limited, Treh-Con Construction Company, Healthpro and Eyinni Farms Nigeria Limited.
Odebiyi is imbued with wide range of core competencies that cover Building Construction, Project Development Analysis, Facilities Management, Project Management, Turnkey Project Development, Process Redesign, Customer Service and Relationship Management, and New business development ability.
He was also appointed a member of Ogun State Judicial Service Commission in 2012. Tolu was prior to this selection had been appointed the General Manager at Broll Property Services Limited, where he was instrumental in the growth of the property management portfolio of the company with an increment in is asset valuation by as much as $100 million.
Tolu Odebiyi was also responsible for closing several big ticket deals for the firm with market leaders that included banks, oil and gas, and diversified conglomerates. Tolu was the Chairman of one of the Committees for the burial of Mama H.I.D. Awolowo and he enjoys a good relationship with the remaining children and grandchildren of Papa Awolowo.
He enjoys sitting down with his people or his staff in his Iboro home town to discuss wide range issues. It is noteworthy that Tolu Odebiyi is only happy whenever his people are happy. I like to go to my hometown in Iboro. He nonetheless cherishes and love visiting Iboro because of its serene, calm and trees packed nature.
He also likes to read any good book; especially biographies of people that got him inspired. This trustworthy individual with untainted integrity represents a glimmer of hope and performance who can readily sustain and build on the wonderful legacies of Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
Since Odebiyi has decided to defer to party supremacy to the effect that its decision matters more, he has since withdrawn from the succession Gateway governorship; it has been generating diverse narratives about the jostling personalities and their political pursuits. Individual aspirant receives and deal with all sorts of labels, questions and queries from the public court, but Odebiyi stands tall.
