IBADAN – The Oyo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), is set to honour the Chairman/CEO of Total Grace Group, Dr. Henry Mobolaji Akinduro, at the grand finale of the 2020 Press Week, tagged, Pen Night/Awards Ceremony.
According to a statement by the Chairman, Oyo NUJ 2020 Press Week Committee, Comrade Kemi Olaitan, who made this known to journalists in Ibadan, the state capital, said Dr. Akinduro will be honoured as the “Most Performing Entrepreneur of the Year”.
He said the honour being bestowed on the Ondo State-born international businessman is for his sagacity in managing the various companies under the Total Grace Group as well as creating jobs for many Nigerians despite the devastating effects of COVID-19 on most companies in the country.
According to him, for successfully piloting the affairs of the subsidiary companies under the Total Grace Group that include Total Grace Support Investment Ltd., Total Grace Transport Ltd, Total Grace Property Ltd, Global Signature Hotel & Resort Ltd, Global Beauty Resort Ltd and Total Grace Oil & Gas Investment Ltd, Dr. Akinduro has etched his name in the minds of Nigerians and would continue to be a source of emulation to the younger generation.
He said, “The Oyo NUJ under the leadership of Comrade Ademola Babalola is proud to confer the award of the “Most Performing Entrepreneur of the Year” on Dr. Henry Mobolaji Akinduro, the Chairman/CEO, Total Grace Group, for providing sources of livelihood to many Nigerians, thereby contributing meaningfully to the economic growth of Nigeria.
“It is our candid view that people like Dr. Akinduro, deserve to be celebrated for the silent revolution he has been able to achieve in the business sector of the country and he is such a wonderful personality that do not make noise about his successes.”
Prominent individuals and organisations that will also be honoured at the event slated for the Jogor Events Centre, Ibadan, under the Chairmanship of the President, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), Chief Yemi Soladoye, include the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial district, Senator Kola Balogun, Hon. Shina Peller, Hon. Akin Alabi and Hon. Jide Olatunbosun.
Others are the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora, Hon. Tolu Akande-Sadipe, Hon. Abass Adigun, and Jogor Events Centre, among others.
