Ogun West Only Region Without Isolation Centre

OGUN WEST: Recently, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun created ‘Isolation Center’ for the people who may contact the contagious coronavirus decease in the state.

The Isolation center which was created by the Governor saw Ogun East having two centres; one at Ikenne and another one at Sagamu. Ogun Central has its own situated at Abeokuta, but surprisingly, non was created in Ogun West which is the gateway to the state.

However, it is well known that though there is currently no record of COVID-19 in the region, but observers of the development were of the view that Ogun West is one major area with porous border.

Many people and citizens of Republic of Benin and others close countries do come into the state through the said porous border of Ogun West; hence  a major reason why the isolation center should be created in the region.

Also, the situation of the bad roads in the area should be considered as a reason to create the centre in the region because for someone who is tested positive to the virus travelling to Ogun Central or East for isolation will be a difficult task.

Governor Abiodun government should should have a rethink about this issue.
