ABEOKUTA – Ogun State government through it’s Public Works Agency (OGPWA) has commenced repairs of the Papalanto-Ilaro express road in the Yewa South local government area of the state.
Making this revelation is the General manager of the Agency, Arch Gbenga Akintola who said that His Excellency the Governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun’s total commitment to the development of the state and unshaken decision towards improved standard of living of the citizens necessitated the continuous repairs and maintenance work which OGPWA has been undertaking since it’s inception, saying that the importance of the Papa-Ilaro road could not be understated as it linked anyone coming from Ifo, Sagamu and Abeokuta to Ilaro and by extension Yewaland.
The GM said that the repairs would be continuous while he appealed to motorists to exercise patience and observe all traffic rules and signs placed strategically at the troubled spots where OGPWA men are working.
He also appealed to those who have been agitating for the repairs of roads in their area to exercise patience as the OGPWA train would soon reach their bus stop.
