ILARO-YEWA – In continuation of the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration’s commitment to housing development in Ogun state, the foundation stone of the first phase of 100 units Ilaro Housing Scheme was on Monday, March 29, 2021 laid by the Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle.
The ceremony was attended by the state delegation which was led by Ogun State Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi and also include the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Laolu Olabimtan, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Toyin Taiwo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Directors in the ministry.
Others at the event were the Bishop of Yewa Diocese of Anglican Communion, The Rt. Rev. Michael Adebayo Oluwarohunbi, Chairman, YSLG, Alhaji Olabode Rahmon Fagbenro, Dr. S.A.J. Ibikunle, Chief Mufutau Ajibola, Chief (Mrs.) Iyabode Apampa, Otunba Tunji Idowu among other important dignitaries from within and outside Ilaro.
Situated along Ilaro-Ibese road, the housing estate is part of the Ogun State Affordable Housing Project revolution of Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration to bridge housing gap in the Gateway State.
Recall, the Governor has said that his government is committed to reducing the housing deficit across the state, saying “no senatorial district will be left out in the arrangement.”
