The leadership of National Association Of Nigeria Students (NANS), Ogun State Joint Campus Committee has commended the recent intervention of Governor Dapo Abiodun on the lingering crisis in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) and Tai Solarin College of Education (TASCE).
In a statement issued to in Abeokuta, the State capital on Thursday June 27, 2019, the NANS Chairman, Comrade Tomiwa Bamgbose lauded the Governor’s effort towards rejuvenating the dwindling glory of the institutions.
The NANS Chairman stated that the current administration has not just intervene on the crisis in the institutions, but has also expressed his love for quality education.
Bamgbose opined that if all students in the State could support Abiodun, the education system in the Ogun State will witness tremendous change.
He said academic activities in TASCE and MAPOLY have been scuttled for a long time over the demand of unpaid salaries by the out-gone Amosun-led government.
Bamgbose who described the incumbent Governor as the institutions’ Messiah, stressed that the intervention of Governor Abiodun has restored peace on the affected campuses.
The Comrade however urged the resolution committee set up by the State government on TASCE crisis not to rest on its oars in ensuring that all that are still needed to be done are done.
Bamgbose expressed appreciation to students of the institutions for their patience and perseverance during the strike action.
