June12, Democracy Day; Shomide Boosts LG Economy Through Mkt Construction, Provides Borehole, Toilet

ABEOKUTA, JUNE 12, 2020: The Chairman, Transition Committee, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake, Abeokuta, Hon. Ayodeji Michael Shomide, has affirmed his administration’s commitment to boost the economy of the LG, by the completion of 50 Open Market Stalls at Asero Motor Park, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Sodeinde Kolawole, Information officer, ASLG, Ake, Hon. Shomide affirmed this, in his office, as part of June12, celebrations, adding that his administration was able to drill a borehole at Isale-Itoko and rehabilitated toilet facilities at Isale-Ijeun, for the commemoration of year 2020, Nigeria Democracy Day, in the LG area.

The purpose of the initiatives, according to Shomide, was to improve the economy of the Abeokuta South LG, by complementing the tremendous efforts of the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in order to make life more meaningful and better for the generality of the people.

Hon. Shomide disclosed that the constructed 50 Open Market Stalls were another great successful events, recorded in the history of Abeokuta South Local Government, adding that the Transition Committee members have been able to record the achievements, within a short period in office, despite the novel virus, called COVID-19 pandemic.

The Chairman stated further, “My administration will not relent in its efforts towards developing our socio-economic infrastructure, in order to make life more comfortable for the people in the council area ” he concluded.
