INEC Declares Osun Gov Election Inconclusive, Holds Re-Run Thursday, 27th September, Nigerians React

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the just-concluded governorship election in Osun State inconclusive, while it orders for Re-run of the election between APC and PDP on Thursday, 27th September, 2018.
It was scooped that 3498 voters to decide the fate of the parties.
Here are the details: ‘‘947 registered voters at cancelled polling units (snatched ballot box); 502 registered voters at cancelled polling units (card reader); 353 registered voters at cancelled polling unit (over voting) and 884 registered voters at cancelled polling unit (Electoral officer compromised).’’
In another development, Nigerians have reacted to the announcement by the INEC declaring the just-concluded governorship election in Osun State inconclusive.
INEC said Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled about 254,698 ahead of Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 254,345 votes.
This decision followed cancellation of votes in Orolu Local Government, Ife South LG, Ife North LG and Osogbo LG resulting, to the loss of 3498
However, Nigerians on social media have expressed divergent opinions over the announcement.

Also, two men were reputedly arrested at St. Mary Grammar School, in Elewe-Iwo during the ongoing Governorship election in Osun State.
CSP El-Mustapha Sani, who announced the arrest on behalf of the DIG in charge of the election, said when the men were searched, the sum of N604, 000 was found on them.
The offenders whose names were simply given as Taiyese and Isiaka argued that the money was meant for party agents.
