Imasayi-Yewa Agog As Oba Kuoye Marks A Year On Throne

IMASAYI-YEWA – The one week-long activities marking 1st Coronation Anniversary of Oba (Rtn) Lukmon Olalekan Adeleke Kuoye (Kofoworade Oyesokun V), the Olu of Imasayi, in Yewa North local government area of Ogun State started on Sunday, November 13, 2022 with Environmental Sanitation of the community and Press Conference/Media Engagement and it was followed on Monday, November 14, 2022 with Healthy and Medical Outreach, Empowerment of widows and the less privileges.

According to Chief Morakinyo OgoOluwa Akinleye (MOA), Chairman, Planning Committee for the 1st Coronation Anniversary of Oba (Rtn) Lukmon Olalekan Adeleke Kuoye (Kofoworade Oyesokun V), the event continued on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 with Visitation to Imasayi-Yewa settlements; Wednesday, November 16, 2022 – Foundation Laying of Olu of Imasayi-Yewa Palace extension; Thursday, November 17, 2022 – Cultural Exhibition: Egungun, Igunnuko, Gelede, Iju, Olosun, Zangbeto and the Conferment of Chieftaincy Tittles to dignitaries from within and outside Ogun State.

Akinleye stated further that Jumat Service holds on Friday, November 18, 2022 while Conferment of Chieftaincy Tittles, Royal Hangout takes place on that day.

“Grand Finale and Reception comes up on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Football playing ground of Oluaso High School, Imasayi-Yewa, starting from 10am and the event will be rounded off on Sunday, November 20, 2022 while Anniversary Thanksgiving Service takes place at Christ Anglican Church, Imasayi-Yewa follow by Imasayi-Yewa Youth Carnival and NYSC Award Programme”, he said.
