Imam Adewunmi Counsels Muslim Faithful To Share Wealth With Have-Nots

ILARO-YEWA – An advice has gone to the Muslim faithful to always share their resources with the poor masses around them.

Sheikh (Imam) Tajudeen Mustapha-Adewunmi, the Chief Imam of Ilaro Central Mosque and its environs stated this on Thursday, May 13, 2021 during his sermon at the Ilaro Central Mosque prayer ground, located at Oke-Ela, Ilaro-Yewa, headquarters of Ogun West.

According to the Islamic scholar, a true Muslim should always seek the comfort and happiness of his or her fellow human beings, irrespective of his or her religious and ethnic background.

His words, “the most important aspect of the Ramadan fasting is to give part of our wealth to the havenots around us.

“We as Muslim faithful should not stop doing the good things we’ve been doing during Ramadan fasting, by being kind to everyone that comes our way for help.”

Imam Adewunmi stated further that whatever we’re blessed with is meant to help other people in our society.

He noted that “giving out to the less privileged among us has a great benefit from God who’s recording every of our activity in life.”

Imam Adewunmi advised the Muslim faithful to emulate others who used their wealth for the promotion of Islam and humanity.

The renowned cleric commended those who have been supporting the growth of Islam and the poor masses.

He also called on the congregation to always live in peace with their neighbours, irrespective of their religion and ethnicity, saying “he who seek peace shall live in peace.”

Imam Adewunmi also used the event to thank the congregation for their steadfast and continued prayers for peace and tranquility in the land, while he advised them to sustain the prayers for peace in Ilaro, Yewaland, Ogun State and Nigeria as whole.

The Eid-el-Fitri prayer was attended by a large number of Muslim faithful who came from far and wide, gaily dressed and joyful.

After the prayers, Chief Imam Adewunmi led some of the congregation to the palace of Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle for Royal blessings.

In another development, Chief Imam Adewunmi in his first Friday Jumat after Ramadan enjoined Muslim faithful to continue the good works displayed during the Ramadan period.

He noted that there’s no break in the blessings of God to those who follow His righteous path.

Imam Adewunmi prayed to Allah to give members the grace to witness many Ramadan to come. He posited that a great person is he, through whose effort, many people rose to greatness.

He said that whoever helped anyone to the top did so for his interest because if he has problem in the future, those he helped would be there for him.

He called on the congregation to also take care of their family with their wealth.
