How Fugitive, Sunday Shodipe Escaped, Re-Arrested

IBaDAN – The fugitive, Sunday Shodipe who was re-arrested after he had been on the run for many days, has finally shed light on how he escaped from police custody in Ibadan.

According to Sunday, he revealed that a new female DPO had ordered one police officer at the station to allow him to take his bath and while he was at it, the officer told him not to make any attempt of running away, of which the plan of escaping at that moment never occurred to him.

But he later decided to abscond after he discovered that the officer was carried away with the discussion he was having with a colleague.

His words, “The new DPO requested that officer Funsho to allow me to have my bath. And even not warned me not make any attempt of escaping while having my bath.

“However, I was able to escape when I discovered that he was in deep his discussion with another person.

“I was able to make my way to the fence, climbed the borehole pole, and jumped over the fence. Although the residence of the area saw me escaping, but did not rat me out”.

On how he was finally arrested again, it was scooped that it was a guy from Akure and his colleagues that trailed the suspects to his hideout in the community that captured the suspect.
