IBADAN – Alhaji Akeem Azeez, the Personal Assistant 1 to Governor Seyi Makinde, has described late Madam Abigael Olatunbosun Makinde as truly a mother by all means and standards.
Akeem who said this in a tribute to his boss mother noted that late Madam Abigael Makinde was extremely caring, and at the same time a disciplinarian, saying, “Mummy believed in the maxim – ‘Spare the rod, spoil the child’_. This does not exclude anyone no matter how big.
“Mummy as we used to called her told some of us that are very closed to her that she will not fall sick before she leaves this world and this has come to pass. No sickness at all. She just left.
“Besides, she had premonition of her death because in the last one year of her sojourn on earth she concentrated more in taking good care of the less-privileged and this was more evident during Covid-19 pandemic when she made sure the less-privileged around her have more to eat.”
Alhaji Akeem stated further that, “Mama you have gone, but we take solace in the fact that you left behind good children that will continue your good work as being exemplified by His Excellency, Gov. Seyi Makinde.
“May the good Lord comfort the family and give us the fortitude to bear your passage to join your Lord and Saviour. Amen.”.
