ABUJA – Hon. Kolawole Lawal Mobolorunduro (KLM), has described as big blow and a sad news of the sudden death of Gen. Adetunji Idowu Olurin (Rtd), saying, “he’s our great father, leader and mentor.”
According to a release e-signed by Hon. Kolawole Lawal Mobolorunduro and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Tunji Olaleye, the honourable representing Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency stated that the late General Olurin was one of the foremost patriotic Nigerians, a great Ambassador, not only to Yewaland, but Ogun State as a whole, “and of course, an inspiration to many.”
“Its on record that the late Gen. Olurin successfully governed the old Oyo state, and commanded ECOMOG as a Military Officer, respectively. He was also a former member of the Armed Forces Ruling Council. His gallantry, exploits and peace & conflict resolution skills, especially as a Civilian Administrator of Ekiti State are commendable and very inspirational.
“He indeed served the nation, the State and humanity meritoriously. That Nigeria, Ogun State and Yewaland have just lost a great man and icon is an understatement, but humanity have lost a compatriot.
“I am personally saddened by the loss of this great Leader whose words of encouragement sowed the seed of my political journey. He was in the forefront of the quest for a Yewaman to become the Governor of our dear state. That he did not live to see this dream become a reality is unfortunate.
“I hereby commiserate with his wife, children, the entire Olurin family, Yewa Traditional Council, the good people of Ilaro, Ogun West and the entire nation. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
