FG Approves Local Mining Of Gold In Kebbi

KEBBI: Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State on Tuesday October 1, 2019, disclosed that the Federal government has given approval for the local mining of gold in Kebbi and Osun states.

The governor, while answering questions from journalists, commended President Muhammadu Buhari for giving the local artisans a means of livelihood. He said the miners are to produce gold for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

His words: “With the gold mining opportunity coupled with other businesses and Agricultural activities, industries have started springing up.”

Bagudu restated the commitment of his administration to begin production of bio-fuel.

“We are ready for the production of bio-fuel next year as we have said earlier. During my visit to some of the farms where the raw materials for the bio-fuel project are grown in Danko Wasagu I was happy to see that the state was ready for bio-fuel production next year.”
