Epe Youths Rally Behind Surah Animashaun: Say, “No One Can Bring Down Your Government”

EPE, EPE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, LAGOS STATE, NIGERIA – Youths under the banner of Epe Concerned Group (ECG) have publicly declared their unwavering support for the Epe Local Government Chairman, Ms. Surah Animashaun.

Despite the country’s financial difficulties, including the removal of fuel subsidies, they commend her for her remarkable strides in infrastructural development.

The youth, representing the 8 and 19 wards of Epe LGA and Epe division, affirmed that no opposition could overthrow the government of Surah Animashaun, citing her overwhelming electoral victory two and a half years ago.

They stressed that her administration is backed by the people, who voted her into office under the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.

The group emphasized that Animashaun’s mandate is a direct result of the majority’s support during the chairmanship election.

ECG promised to back her in the upcoming election as she seeks a second term, believing that her re-election would continue to drive development in the area.

In a statement co-signed by the ECG’s President-General, Olayemi Toheeb Balogun, and Publicity Secretary, Ademola Olanrewaju, the group warned the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to stop its campaign of calumny.

They accused the PDP of attempting to undermine Animashaun’s achievements and steal the people’s mandate through dishonest means.

The ECG declared that the residents of Epe have already rejected the PDP and that Animashaun has made a lasting impact on the area through her numerous development projects.

They highlighted Animashaun’s focus on the welfare of the people, claiming she has set a new standard for leadership in Lagos State.

Although non-partisan, the ECG said it stands for truth, justice, and progress in Epe Local Government.

They vowed not to remain silent amid attempts to steal the people’s mandate through false accusations, reiterating their support for Animashaun’s leadership.

According to the ECG, Animashaun’s performance surpasses that of her predecessors, including Segun Agbaje and Adedoyin Adesanya, in terms of project execution and attention to public welfare.

The group urged residents to support her second-term bid to ensure continued progress for the council.

The ECG condemned the opposition’s tactics as undemocratic, accusing them of attempting to tarnish Animashaun’s image through blackmail and propaganda.

They described these efforts as attempts to sabotage her work to restore the council’s glory and to unlawfully seize power.

 ECG urged Epe community to unite behind Surah Animashaun, recognizing her achievements and the opposition’s malicious efforts.

They believe her second term will usher in even greater progress for Epe Local Government.
