AIYETORO – Prominent Yewa North indigenes have felicitated with Muslims faithful on the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, preaching the virtues of piety, holiness, forgiveness, peace and fear of Allah in their daily activities.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Lateef Akintunde, Zonal Information Officer, Yewa North Local Government, the federal lawmaker representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon federal constituency, Hon Olaifa Jimoh Aremu enjoined Muslims faithful to reflect on the inherent lessons embedded in the celebration which include faith, sincerity, sacrifice, humility, compassion, giving, piety and commitment.
“On behalf of government and people of my federal constituency, I felicitate with our Muslims faithful on the occasion, admonishing them to use the period to pray fervently for the unity and corporate existence of the nation, adding that the development of the nation is the joint responsibility of all”, Olaifa stated.
In the same vein, former Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi, in a statement urged Muslims to promote a life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.
Adekunbi while urging Muslims faithful to use the occasion to share with under-privileged, told them to demonstrate love, sacrifice and transparency.
Also, the Iyaloja of Yewaland, Alhaja Yemisi Abass called on the Muslims faithful to use the occasion to pray for the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun other political appointees for continued God’s guidance and good health, especially at this time our coubtry is facing security challenges.
