ODEDA OGUN STATE: In her efforts to curtail and prevent community transmission of the Coronavirus disease, Odeda Local Government has embarked on Community based screening tests for residents of the LG Area, in order to determine their health status.
According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Dele Ogunyemi, Information Officer, the Transition Committee Chairman of the LG, Hon. Semiu Bola Lawal, made this known after undergoing the COVID-19 test, at the Osiele Health Centre, in the LG.
Hon. Lawal expressed his appreciation to the state government, under the able leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, of Ogun State, for providing all required kits for the exercise, adding that the state government efforts in curtailing and containing the spread of the disease, in the LG and the State, were highly commendable.
Hon Lawal, thereafter, gave the assurance that the screening exercise would be carried out, in all the ten wards of the local government.
The Director of Primary Health Care, (PHC), in the local government, Dr Abiodun Sorunke, while monitoring the exercise, disclosed that there was an ongoing community sensitization and mobilization, aimed at enabling the residents to be fully aware of the need to know their individual health status, as regards COVID-19.
Dr. Sorunke, therefore, appealed to the people, living in all the communities, to make the best use of the preventive measures, tests/screening exercises, designed by the State Government, for the grassroots, at no cost.
