Covid-19: IELG Inaugurates Emergency Response Committee

OGBERE-OGUN: Nine members of    Emergency Response Committee, on Coronavirus scourge, have been inaugurated by the Chairman, Ijebu East Local Government Transition Committee, Hon . Falujo Callistus, at Ogbere, the local government headquarters.

According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Adebanjo Olasunkanmi, Snr. Asst. Infor. Officer, Ijebu East LG., the Committee was saddled with the responsibilities of sensitising, enlightening and awakening the consciousness of the people in the Local Government Area, to the reality of the Coronavirus pandemic,  code named “COVID-19”.
In his address during the inauguration of the Committee,, Hon. Falujo, charged members of the committee to vigorously .enlighten the people,  living in the L.G area, on the need to continue to  observe the preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus menace, such as washing  of hands regularly, taking hot water,  maintenance of social distance,  Information sharing, amongst others.

The Local Government Director of Primary Health Care, Dr. Ademola Talabi, in his own remarks, educated the Committee members on the history of COVID-19, and its symptoms, such as, dry cough, sneezing and illness.

Members of the inaugurated Committee include Hon Falujo Callistus (the Chairman, Transition Committee), Hon Oluwaseun Adesanya (Supervisor for Health), Engr.  I.K Oyedele (HOLGA), Dr Ademola Talabi (Director, Primary Health Care Department) and Mr. Odunfa A.A (Director, Water & Environmental Sanitation department).

Others are Mr Tajudeen Adesoye (Treasurer), Mrs Olufunmilayo Soberu (Director, General Services & Administration), Alhaja I.A Quadri (Director, Community & Social Development department) and Mrs F.Y Metilelu (Director Information, Education & Sports department).
