COVID-19, Fumigation; Shomide Encourages Residents To Engage Licensed Service Provider

ABEOKUTA: The Chairman Transition Committee, Abeokuta South Local Government, Ake, Hon. Ayodeji Michael Shomide, has advised all the dwellers of the LG area, to always patronize government licensed service provider, whenever they were embarking on the disinfection/decontamination of their various environments/surroundings, in order to curtail the spread of coronavirus disease in the LG area.

According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Sodeinde Kolawole, Information Officer, Abeokuta South LG., this is in reference to the Press statement culled from the Chief Press Secretary to the Ogun State

Governor, Mr. Kunle Somorin, saying: each property owner is at liberty to engage any competent service provider of his/her choice, for decontamination or fumigation, and it is expected to be done in accordance with the standards that ensure the environment is free of COVID-19 “.

As part of the measures to halt the spread of coronavirus at ASLG area, therefore, Hon. Shomide reiterated that ” it is, therefore, expected that owners of premises, business owners, schools, mosques and churches ought to engage experts who are registered and licensed by the government to disinfect the environment/surroundings, for the safety and healthy living of the dwellers in ASLG areas”.

The LG boss stated further that, the approach would be part of the government’s efforts to contain COVID-19 and eliminate other viruses, bacteria fungi and hazardous contaminants, in ASLG area, in particular and Ogun State and Nigeria, in general.
