Cleric Describes Ogun NAWOJ Ex-Chairperson’s Late Husband A Devout Christian

ILARO-YEWA – Late Emmanuel Adekunle Adebiyi has been described as someone who lived a life pleasing to his creator.

Rev S.K Asegbe, the Officiating Minister, United African Methodist Church (Eleja), Pahayi, Ilaro, stated this on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at the 41day prayer for late Emmanuel Adekunle Adebiyi, husband to Mrs. Aderemi Adebiyi, former Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) in Ogun State.

The cleric during his sermon said, “If late Emmanuel Adekunle Adebiyi had not been Godly while alive, most of you won’t be here today”.

He however urged sympathisers at the event to borrow leaf from the lifestyle of the deceased by drawing closer to God.

“There is a better life hereafter, let’s all strive to live our lives in the utmost fear of God so that when it’s our turn to leave this sinful world, we’ll have our portion at the right hand of God”, Asegbe admonished.

The prayer which took place at the deceased’s resident in Ilaro, YEWA South local government was meant to seek God’s mercy for the late Mr. Adebiyi as well as to comfort the wife, children, family, friends, sympathizers, and colleagues of Adebiyi’s family.

Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Federated Chapel, families, friends and sympathisers from all walks of life graced the event.
