ABEOKUTA: The Head of Local Government Administration, Abeokuta South Local Government, Mrs. Bukonla Adeniregun, has advised members of the Community Base Targeting Team (CBTT), of the LG, to be diligent and good Ambassadors, in their various community-duty posts, within the local government area.

According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Sodeinde Kolawole, Information Officer, Abeokuta South LG., Mrs. Adeniregun made this statement while explaining the purpose of capturing the absolutely/relatively poor, the elderly, the widow,  the physically challenged and the vulnerable residents of the local government, for the purpose of various social intervention programmes,  by both the govrrnmental and non-governmental organizations, in the future.

The HOLGA added that the exercise, which involved enumeration of all the residents, on Local, State and Federal Governments Social Registers, (SR), was for the purpose of social welfare planning by the three tiers of government.

She further advised all members of CBTT to be proactive and pragmatic in their approach to unforseen issues/situations that might surface during the Community Base Targeting Process (CBTP), in order to have a reliable, adequate and faultless data in the Local Social Register, (LSR), to be submitted to the State Operating Coordinating Unit (SOCU), at Abeokuta, that would be finally forwarded to Abuja Office.

Mrs. Adeniregun, however urged the team to work hand-in-hand for the success of the programme, as it would not only be for the poorest of the poor or vulnerable people, but for the glory of Abeokuta South LG, as the premier local government.

She thereafter called on the dwellers in the communities to embrace and cooperate with the CBT personnel, during the exercise, in the LG area.
