Senator Adeola Yayi Promises Robust Representation As Member Of APC NEC

ABUJA: Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, (APC, Lagos West), the chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance has reacted to his appointment into the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the along party – All Progressives Congress, APC as that of his consistent loyalty to the party since its formation and adherence to party directives before, during and after 2019 elections must be responsible for the appointment.

According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Chief Kayode Odunaro, the Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, Yayi in his enthusiastic reaction to the appointment, stressed that “it is an opportunity for robust representation to further build the party and take it to greater heights”.

The Senate President, Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, who disclosed the appointment through a letter dated 26th of February, 2020, said that Senator Adeola is the second senator to represent the South West geopolitical zone from the National Assembly in the NEC of APC .

His words, “Senator Adeola’s nomination was in pursuant of Article 12(3)XXXii, XXXV, and XXXVi of the Constitution of APC which provides for the membership of the President of the Senate, Deputy Senate President of the Senate, Majority or Minority Leader, Party Whip and their deputies, and two serving Senators from each geo-political zone of the country as members of the National Executive Committee”.
