Police Nab Man For Killing Two At Iwoye-Yewa

Police in Ogun State on Wednesday August 7, 2019 nabbed a suspect, Oladosu Nureni, a.k.a Otelee, for allegedly killing two persons at Iwoye Village, via Ilaro in Yewa Local Government of the State.

According to a release signed and made available to Journalists in Abeokuta, the State capital on Friday August 9, 2019 by Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police Command’s spokesman, indicated that the suspect on March 17, 2019 reportedly killed one Onifade Ajani with a dane gun for no reason.

Oyeyemi added that, “While people of the community were trying to apprehend him, the accused used the same dane gun to kill another person – Olatunji Ayinla, and he has since been on the run.”

He said  the Ilsro Area Commander, Chris Adeyeri received information that the suspect has been spotted at Irogun-Ishaga village, and having received the information, Adeyeri promptly mobilized his men and stormed the village where the suspect was arrested at about 10:20pm.

It was disclosed that items recovered from him by the police include locally made gun, gun powder and assorted charms.

The Commissioner of Police, Bashir Makama however ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to Homicide Section of the State Criminal investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and prosecution.
