IBADAN – The renowned Ibadan-based Mayor of Music, Alhaji Rashidi Ayinde, marked his 60th birthday on Sunday, July 23, 2023, with a prayer session, and also planned splendid celebration on Thursday, July 27, 2023 to commemorate this significant milestone.
In an interview with StarTrend Int’l magazine, Rasheed Ayinde shared that a star-studded lineup, including K1 de Ultimate, Sule Alao Malaika, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Taye Currency, Saheed Osupa, and many others, will grace the Grand Finale of his 60th birthday anniversary celebration at the Jogor Events Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan, on Thursday, July 27, 2023.
When asked about Alhaji Wasiu Ayinla Karashi, his once bosom friend and former music rival in Ibadan during the 1980s, Rasheed Ayinde happily confirmed that he had invited him, stating that they remain good friends and Karashi is heartily welcomed to the event.
The celebration commenced with a special prayer on the morning of Sunday, July 23, 2023, as the Fuji Merenge star turns 60. Following the morning prayers, he joined family and friends at the Bolads Events Centre, along Akala Way, by 12 noon for a light party.
The climax of the celebration is set to take place at the Jogor Events Centre, Liberty Road, Ibadan, on Thursday, July 27, 2023, starting from noon.
In a heartfelt tribute to the Fuji music superstar, Bode Lawal expressed admiration for Rasheed Ayinde’s music, describing it as a source of solace and upliftment for those who truly appreciate good compositions with decent percussion.
He celebrated the Mayor of Music’s talent and wished him a blissful birthday in advance.
