“Our attention has been drawn to a publication going around that the visit of some traditional rulers who are members of the G-75 Coronet Obas to Odole Oodua is political.

I wish to state that Odole Oodua, Sir Keshington Adebutu, is a respected high chief, who has bagged several chieftaincy titles not only in Ogun state, but all the states in the south west from traditional rulers because of his philanthropic gestures to humanities.

Sir Keshington Adebutu only invited the traditional rulers for the New Year celebration, an annual celebration in Iperu, Ogun state.

Odole Oodua is a revered high chief who will never invite any traditional ruler to a political meeting and as traditional rulers, we are not politicians and we remain so.

The visit of these traditional rulers is purely an arrangement that has been put in place for a very long time which cannot be turned down because of the pedigree of the personality of Sir Keshington Adebutu.

As for our constitutional roles, traditional rulers should not be seen or heard to be political, instead they should be seen to be protecting the traditional heritage.

The story is false, unfounded and should not be taken seriously at all, as it is merely the imagination of the writer.

We remain apolitical, very committed and loyal to the present administration and as well renewed our pledge to continue to support the state government to succeed in its policies and programmes.

      E- Signed.

      Oba Tanimowo Folarin,

      Olu Ipebi Ijebu Mushin,

      General Secretary, G-75 Coronet Obas”
