I Want A United NUJ To Work With In Ogun, Says Odusile

ABEOKUTA – The Commissioner for Information in Ogun State, Alhaji Waheed Odusile has opened up on the running crisis rocking the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the state.

To this end Odusile insisted that aggrieved members of the Union must be united before he can work with them as Commissioner for Information & Strategy.

The Commissioner made the appeal when he recently received members of “Team Odusile 2018” at his Oke-Mosan office, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Recall, before his appointment by Governor Abiodun this year, Odusile was the National President of NUJ, but lost in his second term bid in the 2018 NUJ election.

Odusile who appealed to the leadership of the Union, to fine a lasting solution to the problem said he wanted a united house where he could work with everybody.

He stressed that he had no interest in anybody, adding that the meeting was not at the instance of any member of Ogun NUJ, but members of the “Team Odusile 2018”.

The Commissioner equally underscored the importance of Information officers, adding that it was time for them to come out to prove their mantle.

Commenting on his appointment as Commissioner, he said that his appointment by Governor Abiodun was to serve everybody irrespective of their beliefs or affiliation.
