Otegbeye Urges Muslims To Emulate Pious Lifestyle Of Prophet Ibrahim

ILARO-YEWA: The Ogun State stalwart of All Progressives Congress (APC) and founder of a philanthropic organisation – “Building Opportunities For Tomorrow” (BOT), Barrister Biyi Otegbeye, has implored the Muslim faithful to show kindness in their daily chores and be obedient to Allah’s instructions as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by by Barrister Biyi Otegbeye’s Media Office, Otegbeye stated: “I join the Muslim faithful to celebrate and share the joy of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.

“It pleases Allah (the most beneficent, the most merciful and the most magnificent) to make us witness another celebration, and we are grateful to Him. I look forward to a delightful and splendid festivity.

“This is a season of sobriety. It is expected that, at this time, Muslims exhibit the ennobling and time-honoured attributes that the Islamic religion profess, which include peace, sacrifice, love and charity. This season reminds one of the obedient and pious lifestyle of Prophet Ibrahim which all Muslims must emulate to be counted as worthy believers in the sight of Allah”.

While admonishing Muslims to eschew religious bigotry and violence, BOT as fondly called urged them to be their brothers’ keeper, and respect the rights of other religions in order to encourage peaceful co-existence in Nigeria.

He called on celebrants to exercise some caution in this year’s celebrations, adding that “even in our joyous mood, we should take precautionary measures and adhere strictly to the safety protocols of government and other regulatory authorities because of the ongoing challenges of coronavirus pandemic”.

BOT prayed for hitch-free celebrations across the country, beseeching Allah to guide against any form of mishap or untoward occurrence.
