NSCDC Committed To Enforcing Lockdown Protocols In Ogun

Alhaji Hammed Abodunrin the State Commandant, Ogun State NSCDC

ABEOKUTA: Monday, June 1, 2020, which heralded the new protocols in managing the coronavirus in Ogun State, the Corps had noticed with total dismay the non-compliance to the expected extant rules by many residents.

According to a press release e-signed by and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Dyke Ogbonnaya, State Public Relations Executive, For: The State Commandant, consequent upon this observation on the responses of people as regards the relaxation of the lockdown protocols in Ogun State in order to ease off the economy and to tactically manage the pandemic, the Corps had therefore decided to take the bull by the horn by enforcing these rules.

In line with the above observations, the State Commandant, Alhaji Hammed Abodunrin, had reaffirmed the Corps total commitment and onslaught on deterrents across its formations in the State.

Meanwhile, Abodunrin also reiterates that the moderations in the earlier protocols does not imply that the coronavirus had been totally combatted by any means.

To this end, he warns and strictly advises all residents in the State to take heed of the extant rules and protocols guiding the eventual process of flattening the curve of the virus by still maintaining the regular use of nose/face masks, observing the social distancing rules of two-metres, regular washing of hands and the use of hand sanitisers, avoiding a gathering of more than twenty persons and if possible staying at home.

His words, “The lockdown protocols of not travelling from one State to another is still in force while the reopening of churches, mosques and other essential service centres requires strict adherence to all safety rules guiding the entire process.

“More importantly, it is expedient that all residents be duly guided on the need to be alert, responsive, committed and open to the methods outlined at mitigating and defeating the pandemic soon enough.”

The Commandant also thanked the State Government for always being responsive to the yearnings of its people aimed at making life easier for the common man in the State while also wishing His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR), the Executive Governor of the State more fruitful birthdays on earth with God’s divine wisdom and understanding in directing the affairs of the State.
