ILARO-YEWA: The Transition Chairman of Yewa South Local Government in Ogun State, Alhaji Ramon Olabode Fagbenro has felicitated with the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun on his one year in office as the State Governor and celebration of 60th birthday anniversary.
The Transition Chairman while speaking with newsmen in his Ilaro office described Governor Abiodun as a hardworking person who has demonstrated good leadership skills worthy of emulation by his followers.
Alhaji Fagbenro who pointed out that the Governor is a silent hardworking leader said that, Prince Dapo Abiodun has within a year in office touched and provided dividend of democracy across the three senatorial districts of the state.
He stated further that the upgrading of the State Hospital, Ilaro to an enviable standard and renovation of some government own primary schools’ infrastructure in Yewa South were remarkable achievement of Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration which people of the local government area would never forget.
His words, “Sincerely, Governor Abiodun is doing wonderfully well across the state. He has achieved lots within a year of his administration in the state. The Governor is a silent achiever and he has demonstrated quality leadership skills for many of us and others to follow.
“Citizens of Yewa South would forever be grateful to his Excellency for upgrading the State Hospital, Ilaro to an enviable standard and not only that, Mr. Governor also within a year renovated block of classrooms, not only in Yewa South, but across the state.
He also handled the Anchor borrower scheme programme for farmers in the state and construction of roads across the state, all within a year”.
Alhaji Fagbenro said that if Governor Abiodun could achieved the aforementioned within a year, people of the state should expect more developmental projects that would make meaningful impact in their life and at the same time transform the state.
The LG boss however appeal to Governor Abiodun to also consider roads in the area, especially Papalanto-Ilaro -Owode road and Owode-Ado-Odo road that leads to Ogun boundary with Lagos State, saying, ‘if these roads are rehabilitated, it will boost the economy of the area and make life more meaningful to the people of the area who now suffer as a result of the present deplorable condition of these roads.
While wishing Governor Abiodun happy 60th birthday, Fagbenro said, “I want to wish His Excellency happy birthday. May God Almighty continue to give him wisdom needed to lead us right and achieve more success in office as the Executive Governor of our dear state.
“I also wish the Governor more successful years on earth in good health, joy and happiness. And May God grants him all his heart desires”.
The Chairman, who thanked Governor Abiodun for the opportunity given him to serve the state, expressed his appreciation to him (the Governor), Speaker and members of the Ogun House of Assembly for granting them another three months extension to serve the people at the grassroots.
