ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Yewaland has added a new leisure destination to its growing hospitality landscape with the opening of the Yewa Frontier Amusement Park, scheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2025, in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.

The event, which will commence at 10:00 a.m., will be officially declared open by Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, MFR, the Olu of Ilaro, Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, and Chairman of the Ogun State Council of Obas.

Located along the Ilaro–Abeokuta Road, Ilaro-Yewa, the modern recreational facility – designed for children, youths, and the young at heart – was developed as part of the broader Yewa Frontier hospitality ecosystem.

According to the Chairman of Afisola Nigeria Limited and Yewa Frontier Group, Chief Muftau Olabimtan, the amusement park is intended to bridge a long-standing gap in structured recreational facilities for children, young people, and families in Ilaro and its surrounding communities.

Speaking with Abu-Satar Hamed of StarTrend Int’l Magazine and its online platform, Chief Olabimtan explained that the project was shaped by years of operational experience and a careful assessment of the social and recreational needs of the area, with a focus on providing safe, accessible, and family-friendly entertainment.

“As the youthful population in Yewa continues to grow, access to safe and organised leisure facilities has remained limited.

“The decision to establish the amusement park followed strategic reflection on how best to contribute to community development while also expanding local economic opportunities”, Olabimtan noted.

According to him, the facility is positioned to serve children, teenagers, young adults, and families by providing a controlled environment for relaxation, social interaction, and outdoor activities, especially during festive periods.

As part of its initial rollout, the Yewa Frontier Amusement Park has lined up special activities for the festive season, with emphasis on family-oriented entertainment.

The park will also operate promotional incentives to encourage patronage.

“The festive promotion will run from December 1 to January 15, covering Christmas, New Year, and the school holiday period.

“There will be a 20 per cent discount for children under 12, a 15 per cent discount for youths, and a 12 per cent discount for guests lodging at the Yewa Frontier Hotel”, Olabimtan disclosed.

Visitors to the park, he said will enjoy a blend of outdoor attractions and indoor recreational facilities, including a variety of games designed for both children and adults.

“The indoor games section ensures that visitors of all age groups can engage in leisure activities regardless of weather conditions,” he explained, adding that the mix of indoor and outdoor entertainment is intended to make the park a multi-generational destination for families, youths, and organised groups.

The Amusement Park operates in close synergy with the Yewa Frontier Hotel, creating a complementary relationship between leisure and hospitality services.

Yewa Frontier Hotel guests enjoy discounted access to the park, while the facility is expected to boost visitor traffic to Ilaro-Yewa.

Stakeholders say the development is expected to stimulate local economic growth through job creation, increased tourism activity, and support for small-scale businesses in the area.

With the commencement of operations at the Yewa Frontier Amusement Park, Ilaro-Yewa is gradually positioning itself as an emerging leisure and tourism destination within Ogun State.

Observers describe the project as part of a growing trend of private-sector investment in community-focused infrastructure aimed at improving quality of life.

As the festive season approaches, residents of Yewaland and visitors alike are expected to benefit from the new family-friendly recreational option, reducing the need for long-distance travel in search of leisure and entertainment.
