Yewa Youth Unity Cup Kicks Off: Fostering Unity, Talent Discovery

ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Yewa People Development Council (YPDC) has approved the launch of the Yewa Youth Unity Cup, a football tournament aimed at promoting unity, uncovering hidden talents, and encouraging healthy competition among youths across Yewaland.

This decision was made during the Council’s 55th Governing Council meeting, recently in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.

In a statement released by Com. Olaniran Fatai, the Public Relations Officer of the Yewa Youth Association, the tournament is set to begin in the first week of January 2025.

Teams from various towns in Yewaland will compete in a series of matches, starting with preliminary rounds on a town-to-town basis and culminating in a grand finale, where winners will take home impressive prizes.

The Yewa Youth Unity Cup promises to bring communities together while showcasing the skills and sportsmanship of young athletes in Yewaland.
