Yewa People Development Council Admits Olofin Adimula Of Ado-Odo Into Board Of Trustees (+photos)

The Olofin Adimula of Ado-Odo, Oba Olusola Lamidi Osolo, has been formally admitted as a member, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Yewa People Development Council (YPDC).

This appointment fills the vacancy left by the transition of the late Olofin Adimula, Oba Abdullateef Adeniran Akanni.

The induction ceremony was held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the private palace of the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, His Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Olugbenle, MFR. The event coincided with YPDC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The AGM, chaired by YPDC BoT President Oba Olugbenle, brought together traditional rulers from across Yewaland.

The meeting was also attended by prominent members of the YPDC Board of Trustees, the YPDC Governing Council (TGC), and representatives from affiliated organizations.

The event featured participation from various Yewa-focused groups, including YPDC BOT; YPDC Governing Council (TGC); Members and representatives of all affiliates of the YPDC, including Yewa Veterans; Yewa Think Tank; Yewa Development Union (YDU) North America & Canada and Yewa Development Union (YDU) United Kingdom & Ireland.

Other are Yewa Development Union (YDU), Abuja; Yewaland Development Forum, Lagos; Yewa Professionals; Yewa Metropolitan Club; Yewa City Club; Yewa Youth Association; Yewa Association of Retired Principals; Yewa Association of Ogun State Retired Permanent Secretaries; Yewa Association of Ogun State Permanent Secretaries &  Directors; YPDC Leadership Nurturing Project; the National Association of Yewa Students (NAYES) and YPDC Locochaps in Yewa South, Yewa North, Ado-Odo Igbesa, Imeko Afon and Ipokia LGA branch.The AGM reviewed YPDC’s accomplishments over the past year and outlined plans for 2025. Also, members of the Education Summit and other standing committees were inaugurated, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to the development of Yewaland.

The event underscored YPDC’s role as a unifying force for progress across Yewaland, fostering collaboration among traditional institutions, development groups, and professional bodies for the betterment of the community.

Comrade AbdulJabar Ayelagbe, former President of the Nigeria Youth Association, Ogun State chapter, expertly anchored the programme, earning high praise and accolades from the royal fathers and guests in attendance.
