AYETORO-YEWA – Determined to improve the standard of living of the rural dwellers, a list of projects consisting of a block of three classrooms in Yewa Disu, renovated 12 units of lock-up shops at Ayetoro market, 12 lock-up shops with toilet facility at Dangote-Ibese and a four-bedroom maternity facility with other conveniences at Imoto-Yewa have been commissioned in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l Magazine and online – www.startrendinternational.com by Lateef Akintunde, Zonal Information Officer, Yewa North Local Government, Hon. Gabriel Ogunyomi speaking at the commissioning of the projects, to commemorate the second year in office of the present administration in the Local Government, its Chairman, said the step was necessitated by the need to deliver more dividends of democracy through the provision of developmental social amenities that would enhance the residents’ well-being and make life more meaningful for people of the area.
Hon. Ogunyomi who appreciated the support of the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Executive Council members of the Local Government, traditional and religious leaders, among others for the achievements recorded, assured the people that his administration would embark on more developmental projects across some localities in the area before the end of his tenure, appealing to the residents of the areas to sustain their loyalty to the administration, by paying their taxes promptly.
In their separate contributions, the duo of former Majority Leader of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. David Kojeku and Local Government All Progressive Party Chairman, Chief Kunle Adeosun commended the determination and the achievements of Hon. Ogunyomi’s administration, within two years in office for working assiduously to actualize the quantum of projects for his people.
Also speaking, the trio of Baales of Yewa-Disu, Chief Ganiyu Adedigba, Imoto-Yewa, Chief Olusegun Orisada and Aluhan Ihanbe, Chief Paul Awoyemi, as well as Iyaloja General, Ogun State, Alhaja Yemisi Abass represented by Mrs. Labake Bankole commended the council boss for the choice of projects, saying they would have direct impact on the people, at improving their well-being.
