Yewa Metro Club Felicitates Oba Olugbenle, Senator Adeola Yayi, Others on the Successful Hosting of 2025 Oronna Ilaro Festival

ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Alhaji Sijuwade Idowu, the Acting Chairman and members of the Yewa Metropolitan Club, Ilaro (YMCI), a foremost social organization in Ogun State, have congratulated Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle MFR, Asade Agunloye IV, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, who is also the Chairman’ of Ogun State Council of Obas, on the successful hosting of the 2025 Oronna Ilaro Festival.

The Grand Finale of the week-long celebration – filled with diverse socio-cultural activities – was held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.

In a statement made available to StarTrend Int’l Magazine by Alhaji Sijuwade Idowu, the group expressed gratitude to God for the remarkable success of the annual event.

He also commended Oba Olugbenle for his unwavering commitment to ensuring that the festival not only holds every year but continues to grow in quality and significance.

The Club prayed that Oba Olugbenle’s reign continues to usher in socio-cultural and economic development across Ilaro and Yewaland.

The statement further acknowledged the moral and financial support of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, representing Ogun West at the National Assembly.

YMCI noted that the senator’s consistent support – alongside contributions from corporate bodies, individuals, clubs, and associations – significantly enhanced the success of the 2025 edition of the festival.

Alhaji Sijuwade Idowu also applauded Chief (Pharm.) Lekan Asuni, Chairman of the Oronna Ilaro Festival Planning Committee, (also a member of YMCI) and his team for their effective planning strategies, which have continued to elevate the festival into a world-class cultural celebration.

He extended congratulations to the people of Ilaro-Yewa for not only celebrating the festival, but for maintaining its global standard.

He praised the sons and daughters of Ilaro-Yewa, both at home and in the diaspora, who participated physically and virtually in honouring the town’s revered heroes, especially Oronna.

Idowu also commended members of the Olu Ilaro-in-Council for their support to Oba Olugbenle and for their dedication and selfless service to the community.

He however noted that memories of the 2025 Oronna Ilaro Festival will continue to linger, given the excitement and cultural richness that characterized the celebration.
