ILARO-YEWA – Otunba (Dr.) Wasiu Taiwo, the President of Yewa Chamber Of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (YECCIMA), has expressed deep shock and sadness following the sudden passing of Chief (Mrs.) Alaba Lawson, the Iyalode of Yorubaland, in the early hours of Saturday, October 28, 2023.
Dr. Taiwo, fondly called Wessy Creation, conveyed his condolences through a personally signed statement, which he made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine and online outlets.
In his message, Wessy Creation, who is also the Chairman, Continental Suite & Hotels, Abeokuta, and President of Tailoring Association of Nigeria (TAN), characterized the demise of Chief (Mrs.) Lawson as a significant loss, not only to her immediate family, but to the entire nation of Nigeria.
Taiwo emphasized that the late Chief (Mrs.) Lawson was a remarkable figure, an exemplar of womanhood, and a role model that every woman should aspire to emulate.
The Ilaro-Yewa born renowned fashion designer said: “On behalf of myself and the entire members of Yewa Chamber Of Commerce, Industry, Mines & Agriculture (YECCIMA), we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Jiboku-Taiwo Families, ABEOCCIMA, OGUNCCIMA, NACCIMA, and all those whose lives were touched by her.
“We mourn the sudden loss of our Mother, leader, and an outstanding teacher of international renown.
“We also share our sympathies with the Ogun State government and the entire people of the Gateway State for the sad departure of the first female President of NACCIMA.
