Wizkid Loses Mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun

LAGOS – Nigerian-born Afrobeat star, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, has lost his mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, on Friday, August 18, 2023.

According to Sunday Are, Wizkid’s longtime Manager, the late Mrs. Balogun died in the early hours of Friday.

‘Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am”, Sunday Are said.

Born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, Wizkid is yet to react publicly to the death of his mother.

Late Mrs Balogun’s physical presence during Wizkid’s performances transcended the boundaries of a maternal bond, and an emblem of steadfast backing for her son’s musical journey in life.

The late Mrs. Balogun is also mother to two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun.
