Ogun State Government has reiterated its plan to commit resources at its disposal to improve the socio-economic well-being of the citizenry across the State.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Lateef Akintunde, Zonal Information Officer, Yewa North Local Government, the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele stated this at the First Ayetoro Development Summit and Launching of 10-year Ayetoro Development Plan held at Main Auditorium Hall, Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro.
Gov. Abiodun said that his administration was committed to the socio-economic development of the state, saying that the ‘building the future agenda together’ is particularly evident in high level via measures taken at securing lives and property, creation of industrial friendly opportunities and the on going socio infrastructural development doting the nooks and crannies in the state among others.
Also, the state Chief of Staff, Alhaji Shuaib Salis said that exploring the benefits of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) training would not only sustain the economy, but also develop and enhance the potentials of youths in the state
In his speech, the Chairman, Central Planning Committee of the event, Chief Kunle Amosun submitted that this year’s Ayetoro festival was an opportunity to call on government at all levels to come on board and fast track the development of Ayetoro in the implementation of the the 10-year development plan.
He thanked the present administration in the state for fulfilling all its electioneering promises and enjoined the residents to sustain the bond that unite them and foster the link of brotherliness.
This year’s Ayetoro festival witnessed presentation of Award of Excellence and Good Governance to Governor Dapo Abiodun, his Deputy, Chief of Staff, Honorable representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon, Hon Olaifa Jimoh Aremu.
Other activities are paper presentation by immidiate past Provost, College of Agricultural Science of University, Ayetoro, Professor Olusegun Aihonsu, artisans football competition, educational programmes, humanitarian visitations and cultural events.
