LAGOS, NIGERIA – The Bobagunwa of Ilaro-Yewa, Alhaji (Chief) Waidi Haruna, popularly known as Wadoye, and his wife, Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Memunat Haruna, the Yeye Bobagunwa of Ilaro-Yewa, have extended their heartfelt congratulations to Muslim faithful across the globe as they celebrate the 2025 Ileya (Eid-Adha) Festival.

In a statement electronically signed and shared with StarTrend Int’l magazine and online platform, Alhaji (Chief) Haruna and his wife thanked Allah for granting them life and the privilege to witness this year’s Eid-Adha celebrations.

“On behalf of myself, my wife and children, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you all Muslim faithful all over the world on the occasion of this year Eid-Adha festival”, the statement reads.

Wadoye reminded Muslims of the deeper meaning of Eid-Adha, which centers on perseverance, belief, and compassion, drawing from the story of Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his only son to God in fulfillment of a divine promise.

“The celebration also symbolizes total submission to the will of God; hence we should see whatever condition we are in as the will of God who knows why it is like that, and He has a purpose for it”, he emphasized.
