URGENT APPEAL TO GOVERNOR DAPO ABIODUN OVER A CRITICAL ISSUE ON SAGAMU EXPRESS ROAD

This is an urgent call to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, regarding the flooded section of road between Sagamu Express Junction and the old Toll Gate.

This area is causing significant gridlock and poses a serious danger to motorists and commuters traveling along the Lagos/Abeokuta-Sagamu-Ijebu Ode expressway.

Commuters have expressed that the nightmare created by this flooded portion is best experienced rather than imagined. Many are enduring hours of frustrating delays that could be avoided with immediate government intervention.

On Thursday, September 18, 2024, Yours Truly (in transit) was caught in this traffic jam for hours, highlighting the urgent need for action.

Reports indicated that motorists, especially those traveling from the Eastern regions of Nigeria to Lagos-Abeokuta through Sagamu expressway, have been losing valuable time over the past months without any government response.

The gridlock has not only affected the primary lane but has also led to vehicles facing each other as drivers attempt to navigate around the hold-up.

This chaotic situation further increases the risk of accidents on this busy route.

I appeal to Governor Dapo Abiodun to kindly come to the aid of motorists and commuters who are currently spending 2-3 hours in this hazardous stretch between Sagamu Express Junction and the old Toll Gate.

Immediate action is essential to alleviate the dangers posed on this road.
