…As Ado-Odo Hosts Distinguished Gathering

ADO-ODO, ADO-ODO/OTA LG, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The ancient town of Ado-Odo in Ogun State was graced by a distinguished assembly as Ramon Nasir, Head of Media and External Relations at UBA Plc and his siblings laid their mother, Late Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Musiliat Amoke Falade, to rest.
Known as Olowoletiaso, the Iya Oba of Imasayi Kingdom’s, final burial was marked by a grand celebration at the Alamuwa Grammar School Playing Ground on September 7, 2024.
The event was a vibrant display of pomp and pageantry as Obas, journalists, media practitioners, captains of industry, seasoned politicians, and other notable figures gathered to pay tribute to Alhaja Falade.
The attendees who dressed in their finest to honour Ramon Nasir and celebrate his mother’s impactful life described Alhaja Falade an Amazon who left an indelible mark in sands of time.
Ramon Nasir, who described his mother as a jewel of inestimable value, delivered a moving eulogy, reflecting on her mother’s teachings of kindness, generosity, and faith, noting her significant contributions to the underprivileged and her advocacy for women’s empowerment and education.
He extended gratitude to God for his mother’s fulfilled life and to those who supported the family with emotional tribute.
Ramon, on behalf of his family, thanked the traditional rulers, UBA Plc colleagues, and journalists who traveled from far and near to attend the celebration.
He prayed for everyone’s ability to honour their parents and for those without parents to have good children to care for them in their old age.
Family members and the women’s association co-founded by Alhaja Falade paid homage to her legacy.
They highlighted her dedication to giving back, her visionary leadership, and the profound impact of her philanthropic work.
Her contributions to community development and her ability to unite people were particularly celebrated.
Alhaja Falade, aged 86, passed away on July 25, 2024, at Duchess International Hospital, Lagos. Her burial took place the following day at her residence in Ado-Odo, in line with Muslim rites.
Her installation as Iya Oba in 2021 and her 80th birthday celebration in 2018 were notable milestones that underscored her influential presence.
As Alhaja Falade’s final burial outing came to close, her legacy of kindness and service was remembered.
Guests enjoyed a vibrant celebration featuring Tolu Obey’s juju music and a feast with assorted delicacies.
The event, masterfully anchored by Adeyinka De 1st and an elegant co-host, was indeed, a fitting tribute to an extraordinary life of an Amazon.
The ceremony not only honoured Alhaja Falade’s life, but also celebrated the indelible mark she left on those around her.
May her soul find eternal peace in Aljanat fridaus.
