UBA Head of Media & External Relations, Ramon Nasir’s Mother Buried Amidst Heartfelt Encomiums

ADO-ODO, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Musiliat Amoke Falade, a beloved community leader and philanthropist, was laid to rest according to Islamic rites on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at her residence at 11 Oredola Estate, Okepadi, Ado-Odo, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

She was surrounded by family, friends, and well-wishers who gathered to pay their final respects. The atmosphere was filled with heartfelt encomiums, reflecting the immense impact she had on the lives of many.

The burial ceremony, held on a serene evening, began with the Janazah prayer. The Chief Imam of Ado-Odo Central Mosque, Imam Abanigbe Solihu Ibraheem, leading the prayer, spoke of Alhaja Falade’s unwavering faith, her dedication to the community, and her lifelong commitment to helping those in need.

Her charitable works, Imam Abanigbe noted, had touched countless lives and would leave a lasting legacy.

As the procession moved to the burial ground, mourners recounted their fondest memories of Alhaja Falade.

One of the five children of the deceased, Mr. Ramon Nasir, Head of Media and External Relations of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), delivered a moving eulogy, describing his mother as a pillar of strength and a beacon of hope for the family.

“My mum taught us the values of kindness, generosity, and faith. Her love knew no bounds, and her spirit will continue to guide us,” he said.

Alhaja Falade’s contributions extended beyond her family. She was a respected leader in various community organizations, advocating for women’s empowerment and education.

A close relation and fellow community leader shared her admiration for Alhaja Falade’s tireless efforts, saying, “Alhaja was a true champion for the underprivileged. Her dedication to improving the lives of others was truly inspiring.”

The women’s association, which Alhaja Falade had co-founded, also paid tribute to her. They recalled her visionary leadership and her ability to bring people together for a common cause.

“Alhaja Falade was a mentor and a friend. Her wisdom and guidance helped shape the path for many of us,” one member stated.

Alhaja Falade’s philanthropic work was widely recognized. She had been instrumental in establishing several educational programmes and healthcare initiatives in the community.

“Alhaja Falade believed in giving back. Her support allowed us to pursue our dreams, and for that, we’re eternally grateful,” some family members posited.

As the burial rites concluded, the sympathisers offered their prayers and final goodbyes. The atmosphere, though somber, was filled with gratitude for a life well-lived.

Alhaja Falade’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and service will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.

Shortly after her passing was announced, tributes poured in from all corners of the community. Social media was flooded with messages of condolence and remembrance.

Her impact on the community was profound, and her memory will be cherished for generations to come.

Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Musiliat Amoke Falade, fondly called Olowoletiaso, peacefully departed in the early hours of Thursday, July 25, 2024, while under care at Duchess International Hospital, Lagos.

Aged 86, the Iya Oba of Imasayi-Yewa Kingdom, Ogun State, was not only admired for her contributions to community development but also her business acumen and religious devotion.

Her installation as Iya Oba in 2021 marked a significant milestone following the ascension of Oba Olalekan Kuoye as the Olu of Imasayi-Yewa Kingdom, Ogun State.

Also, in 2018, her 80th birthday celebration in Ado-Odo was a gathering of friends, family, and well-wishers, attended by dignitaries including publicists, journalists, and financial experts from across the region.

Her life story serves as a reminder of the difference one person can make through dedication, faith, and an unwavering commitment to the betterment of others.

As Alhaja Falade is laid to rest, her spirit lives on in the numerous lives she transformed. May the Almighty Allah grant her Aljanat fridaus.

A final burial outings for Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Musiliat Amoke Falade comes up on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the St. Stephen Secondary School Football Pitch, Oke Padi, Ado-Odo, in Ado-Odo/Ota LG, Ogun State. Starting at noon.
