UBA Head Of Media & External Relations, Mr. Ramon Nasir’s Mother Passes Away

ADO-ODO, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Head of Media and External Relations of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Mr. Ramon Nasir, has lost his mother Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Musiliat Amoke Falade, fondly called Olowoletiaso.

Aged 86, the Iya Oba of Imasayi-Yewa Kingdom, Ogun State, peacefully departed in the early hours of Thursday, July 25, 2024, while under care at Duchess International Hospital, Lagos.

A statement issued by the family and e-signed by Mr. Ramon Nasir confirmed her demise.

Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Falade has been laid to rest same day, according to Islamic rites, at her residence – 11 Oredola Estate, Okepadi, Ado-Odo, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The statement reads in part, “Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhin Rajiuna. Our Matriarch is gone!.

“It is with deepest regret and total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah that the families of Falade, Kuoye, Nasir, and Rasaq announce the passing away of our Mother and the Matriarch of our families, Musiliat Amoke, popularly known as Olowoletiaso, who peacefully departed in the early hours of Thursday, July 25, 2024.”

Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Musiliat Amoke Falade was not only recognized for her leadership as the Iya-Oba of Imasayi-Yewa Kingdom, but also admired for her business acumen, religious devotion, and contributions to community development.

Her installation as Iya Oba in 2021 marked a significant milestone following the ascension of Oba Olalekan Kuoye as the Olu of Imasayi-Yewa Kingdom, Ogun State.

Recall, in 2018, her 80th birthday celebration in Ado-Odo was a gathering of friends, family, and well-wishers, attended by dignitaries including publicists, journalists, and financial experts from across the region.

As she was laid to rest, her legacy of strength, wisdom, and compassion lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
